I have recently gotten a 2005.5 B7 A4 with 66k miles in January I think I drove it back and forth to school until the whole corona virus started but I’d drive the car here and there around town for the fun I’ve been having problems with driving this car due to the rev hang and have gotten used to it after a while but I don’t drive it that aggressively you could say I really don’t go above 4K rpm ever in this car it’s a weird feeling just from being used to rotarys in my rx7 so I was driving around town today and I was in 1st and I hit maybe 5k rpm and went to go into 2nd and nothing no gears what so ever the clutch went to the floor and it was spongy twords the bottom so I ended up pumping the petal to try and get the car moving I ended up getting it home but I think the clutch is just gone I don’t know much about never German cars so I don’t know what systems this car uses but what I can tell you is when trying to limp it home it feels like the car just bucks when I try and let the clutch out and after a while the car would screech until it stopped bucking like a grinding gears but I managed to get it home trying not to **** anything up and mostly just stayed in 2nd but there was a point in 3rd where the clutch would slip going uphill but sitting here a cars length away from the car I can smell the clutch buring so I think it was just time for the clutch to be replaced since it’s at 70k miles now I just hope I didn’t **** up anything else anyone got any opinion anything I can check anything would be appreciated thanks
