I am new to Audi and I owned A4 2.0T FSI FWD CVT. I am just confused what is the best chip or audi tuner? I notice that Neuspeed chip has more power than APR, but then I also read that REVO offer very good software as well. which one is better, can someone please give me a suggestion.

Also, I have asked and read a few articles, most of the tuner would say that their software is undetectable by the VAG tools owned by the dealer, then why are some people still scared and worry about the warranty. I mean if something do happen, and they can't detect anything, wouldn't it mean that they are still covered by the warranty?

I also wonder, whether a cat-back exhaust system would void your warranty?

2nd. CVTs don't handle additional power all that well.

I am a newbie. What is CVT? I have a 2.0t quattro and ordered an APR do you have any suggestions.

I have talked to both representative from Neuspeed and APR, both said that chipping my CVT tranny would be fine. Can anyone please clarify why chipping the CVT is bad, or at least why audi make such a weak tranny? after all, the DSG came out as well right?

What If I upgrade my cat-back exhaust system? what would be fine right? WIll the exhaust system void my warranty? Anyone?

Totally different. DSG = wet clutches....

The CVT simply cannot handle close to 300tq. Call up Audi and ask. ZF rates it at ~220tq and it is only slightly modified by Audi to handle the FWD only drivetrains for the 4 and 6 cylinders. Plenty of stock cars blowing them. I see them at the dealesships frequently. cheers! mike
