Default Silly S-Line Question

Hello. Quick question. I'm looking a a 2005.5 A4 with the s-line package on it. I can't seem to find anywhere what this excatly means though? Does someone have a quick line of 'enhancements' this offers me on the 2005.5?

Thanks!
Rob

S-line didn't become available until the 2006 model year.

Thanks for the quick replies. So if S-Line wasn't included until 2006, what am I looking at here?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2005-...item27baf49b5a

Is it maybe just a body kit, or does the 2005.5 count as a 2006?

Thanks!

You're looking at a 2005.5 Audi A4 non-sline with a S-line badge on the front.

Here is the difference:

My car before conversion to sline front:

My car after sline front conversion:

The only body modification I see for the ebay car are: Front lower spoiler (Cupra lip), Front badge replacement (Quattro to S-Line), Rear trunk lip spoiler.

The car is definitely NOT a Sline, and $15k for a 05.5 is too much to ask.

Interesting, thanks for the information. 15 is too much. I'm thinking 13,500 myself.

I thought the 2005.5 was effectively a 2006 just out early. So, wouldn't the S-line be accurate then?

Theoretically yes, but the picture shown on the ebay site certainly doesn't look like one. A photo of the interior would go a long way to helping determine by looking for things like:

  • Sport suspension, including 30% stiffer shocks / springs, stronger stabilizer bars in front & rear, suspension lowered by 20 mm
  • 18'' 5 arm cast alloy wheels from quattro GmbH (8J x 18 ET 43)
  • 235/40 R18 high performance Y-rated tires
  • S line bumpers and rear spoiler trunklid (from S4), S line grille, S line interior door sills
  • S line badges on rear moldings of rear doors
  • S line steering wheel: red/silver/black stitching, shift paddles on auto models; perforated leather
  • Brushed aluminum interior trim
Got all this from the link I posted in my earlier post in this thread.

Almost. 18 inch wheels were a later add on to the S-line. Early versions had the same 17's as the regular car.

Sorry for the double post. From the pics it looks likem this could be a true s-line. The ride height looks about right, but it is hard to tell. It also has the rear spoiler and three spoke steering wheel. Not sure if the door sill plates on a 2005.5 say s-line. They do on my 2008.
