Test Pipe?
Been hearing a lot about test pipes lately, but am still new to this type of mod.
I'll be keeping my mods simple since I'm leasing, so I was only planning an APR stage I flash.
But this Test pipe thing is interesting. I have a couple of questions for those in the know:
- Is a test pipe a standalone mod or does it need a full exhaust upgrade?
- It seems illegal. Is it? Does this mean it's more polluting than the converter it replaces?
- Will Audi maintenance have issues with it, and should I replace it with the original part before turning in the car aqt end of lease?

Test pipe is a stand-alone mod. Exhaust isn't necessary. The test pipe replaces the catalytic converter, so yes, it will pollute the environment. Without proper software (APR flash) you will throw a check engine light, and that may cause dealer issues. You must replace the cat when you return the car.
