Upgrading the head unit

I'm trying upgrade my stock non navi head unit to a clarion nx409

And I called them and they said that I wont get fm radio because audi doesn't have a stock motorola antenna or something to that effect.

Has any1 run into this when installing an aftermarket head unit?

I plan on doing this myself with the same head unit once i save up the $$$.....please post and let us know how it goes. Pictures maybe?!? Thanks
