wipers

my wipers stopped working WHILE it was raining like hell. I had to stop the car like every minute and move the wipers with my hands...literally.
Are wipers covered by warranty? i'm asking this cause i remember reading a post somewhere that wipers arent covered...TIA!

i belive its just wiper blades that are not covered, as they are a wear item.

Are you talking about

the wiper blades or thhe wiper motor, control...
I ask because you are talking about moving the wipers by hand.

If your wipers won't move, you're covered...

If it's just that the blades streak, then it's your own nickel. Quite a few of them, actually ($70 at my last service, never happen again!)
