2013 Allroad Ordered - and ordering question
I mentioned it in a different thread but didn't want to hijack it.
Last week I pulled the trigger, put down a $1k deposit and ordered an allroad. This will be my first Audi and first car ever ordered.
I ordered a Scuba Blue, chestnut brown, P+, Nav, B&O, Natural wood, & sports pkg.
I offered 5.5% off MSRP (excluding tax, tag & title) and it was accepted. Good deal or no?
So my question is I don't know when the arrival time frame will be.
One sketchy thing to me is that my sales guy said that orders wouldn't be submitted to Audi until toward the end of the month when the allocations are meant to be filled. He made it sound like they have allocations currently but that they hold off submitting it to Audi till the end of the month (June)...
Does that sound right to anyone that has gone through this process? There were a couple of allroads already in the dealer's queue.
I feel like I'm being held up for 2-3 weeks so that the dealer could get a better deal allocated first (I don't feel like I'm getting a great deal, just a good one).
Or should I shut up, stop worrying and enjoy the wait?
Also, if anyone can find a picture of a scuba blue allroad, please share!

I went through this exact same process. Got ibis white, p+, b&o, sport pk, advanced key, mmi, chestnut, oak. I got a good deal too. One difference though, the day after I put down my deposit, I had etas from the factory saying that my dock departure date is around aug 11 and my estimated dealer deliver date is sep 11. They also confined that the factory has received the order. I wa amazed how fast the dealer+factory worked on this. I think your dealer can place it whenever unless they have already used up their quota for custom orders.

Since my first post I did receive a call with some dates. In short the order was placed on the 6/16 (deposit placed on the 3rd). Tentative delivery date of Oct 1, possibly the last week of Sept.

Taken Delivery of my allroad!!
My car came in and took delivery on Monday, the 27th. I love it. Its been almost a week and about 450 miles thus far and its been superb and really amazing.
