A4 b8 multitronic replace
Hi, i've got 2009 a4 b8 2.0tdi caga with 0aw LLA 8-speed multitronic gearbox. Can i replace it with different code one like 0aw NYM, is it just different TCU software? Thanks.

The "control unit" for the 0AW LLA for MY09 would be 8K5 927 155, used in the MY09+ KSR, LLA, MMV, and LAT codes (codes for type 0AW for the B8.0 2.0 TDI). MY08 versions of JNR, KSR, and LAT used 8K2 927 155 T.
There's no reason to assume the control unit for the B8.5 version of the type 0AW for 2.0 TDI. such as code NYM and NDW, which are transmission 0AW 300 048 F, is compatible with the 0AW 300 045 L transmission. Also, 0AW 300 048 F used three different control units over the B8.5 years, one for MY13, one for the start of MY14, and another for pretty much MY14 and after (with the new TD1 code engine.
So the more drop in replacement would be from a MY09-MY12 KSR, LLA, MMV, or LAT.
