Address book questions
2. Can you access people's addresses for navigation directions based on the addresses imported with your phone?
3. I also read that you can load addresses from a memory card. How does this feature work?
Thanks!
1. There is a limit but IIRC correctly it's quite high and there are 2 separate limits - one being for the contacts it access via your phone and how many you can download to the hard drive.
2. You can not navigate to a person's address if it's on your phone. You would need to download the contact to the hard drive and then you are able to do this. More below.
3. I copied over vcf files from outlook onto a memory card and imported them to the car. You will now need to access each one separately and click on 'Enter Navigation Address" or something like that. Once you do this MMI will import the address info into a section it can read from. You can now hit the 'back' button on MMI and do the same for the others.
I know it's not 100% intuitive but it doesn't take a long time. The same steps are used when trying to navigate to someone on your phone. MMI will copy said contact to the hard drive, then follow the steps above.
Test one vcf file first to ensure you are getting the info needed into the right spots within the contact card on your computer. It took me 2 tries to get it right.
The owners manual doesn't fully explain the above which I found frustrating at first

Hope this helps.

It would seem a bit backwards that the hard drive that you have would have less capacity than your phone.
Also the new MMI (with Audi connect) is supposed to be able to read contacts from your myaudi account but for the life of me I can't figure out how to add a contact via import - I can add a map destination just fine...
IMHO - The MMI manual is 'el stinko' (that's a nice way to say something akin to 'urine poor')
