Broken Upper Overflow Hose Replacement
Long story short, the upper overflow hose from the radiator to the expansion tank has broken at the quick connect on the radiator. The nipple that inserts into the radiator from the hose snapped in half. I'm trying to get the remaining piece out of the radiator flange but I'm struggling. Is it possible to clean it up to the point no small pieces can become free into the coolant and then use a basic coolant hose instead of the factory hose I've purchased? I'd like to use a basic hose to fit over both the radiator and expansion tank flanges fastened in place with hose clamps. Any advice or information on this is appreciated or if someone has a fool proof way of removing the broken insert allowing for the new factory hose to be used I'd be grateful. Thanks in advance.

Did you only drill part of it? There’s a keyway at the end that makes it so you can’t turn it. That’s what’s stopping me from drilling it right now
I was able to get it out with a drill. Kept going up in sizes until it eventually cracked into 2 pieces and I got the rest out with a pick and vacuum.
