Code readers
#2
A code reader's a code reader, I bought a wi-fi (I find bluetooth ones flaky) one from Amazon to use with my phone and it does a very nice job. I all you want is to scan for codes that'll do. If you want more in depth diagnostics you'll need something like Ross-Tech's VCDS.

And if you want to see why VCDS and Ross-Tech is a better tool than a basic code reader for Audi owners, see https://www.audiworld.com/forums/a4-...stion-2954465/
You can get the HEX-V2 for 3 VINs for $200, and that's a better investment than any $50 reader: https://store.ross-tech.com/shop/vchv2_ent/
But you're in the UK, so you're likely going to have to go through one of their UK distributors: Ross-Tech: Distributor List
