Default Code readers

hi guys. I’m looking to get a code reader for my a4.
Are there any that you would recommend?

A code reader's a code reader, I bought a wi-fi (I find bluetooth ones flaky) one from Amazon to use with my phone and it does a very nice job. I all you want is to scan for codes that'll do. If you want more in depth diagnostics you'll need something like Ross-Tech's VCDS.

You can get the HEX-V2 for 3 VINs for $200, and that's a better investment than any $50 reader: https://store.ross-tech.com/shop/vchv2_ent/
