Common B8.5 Problems
Hey Everyone,
I have a 2014 A4 Premium Plus with a manual transmission that's at 42,000 miles. I love the car, but I definitely have that German luxury car anxiety of, "Is this car going to fail catastrophically today and cost me thousands of dollars to fix?".
What are some common B8.5 issues I should watch out for and how expensive are they to fix? Is there a particular mileage I should plan on selling the car by to avoid costly repairs?
Thanks!

Your model year is an excellent choice. The 2009-2012 A4 was bad news. You really have nothing major to worry about except for routine maintenance. If you drive in a great deal of stop and going bumper to bumper traffic you may want to consider a carbon cleaning (carbon buildup on the intake valves - walnut blast or hand cleaning - not seafoam) but if you drive a decent amount of highway you should be fine till around 100k. This service ranges from about $600 to $1000.
