Difference between 2010 and 2011 A4

Hey guys,

I came across this forum and would love if anyone can help me out with letting me know what the main differences are between the 2010 and 2011 2.0 model?

I had a 2003 A4 1.8T about 4 years ago... I bought it second hand with around 90,000kms on it. After a few months it started to leak oil and I decided to sell it instead of fixing it... Apparently that problem is common in that model? or so I've heard...

I'm now in the market for another A4 as I love Audi's! Ideally I would love an A5 but I just can't afford one yet.

I drive past A4's and I can't pick the difference between the 2010 and 2011 model.. Have they not changed the body at all??

Any other changes that anyone can let me know about? What are the main problems with this model that people are facing?

AFAIK the difference on identical models between 2010 and 2011 models is the digital compass in the rear view mirror.

If you're getting an auto, the 6 speed transmission was replaced with the 8 speed. Also, the NAV package includes HD radio starting in 2011. Titanium package became available in 2011.

if you get premium plus, 2011 models i think come with the auto dim mirror.

on 2010 it was only part of prestige (on 2009 premium plus came with memory seats AND dimming mirror)

Yeah, I don't understand why they removed this from the package for one year. A friend has a Q5 (Premium Plus) and hers has these features. Not a big deal for me, once the back window is tinted, no need to dim the mirror and I'm the only one that drives it, so memory seats / mirrors no big deal either. Just seems strange they would drop it for one year and then replace it.

The US based B8 A4 started in Aug '09 and ended in Jul '12. There were no exterior changes made to the cars.
The only differences are the base model bumpers and the Sline bumpers, which are the same on the S4.

The B8.5 refresh began in Aug '12 and the new model, B9, will be out Aug '15 (2016MY).
