Difficult to start when warm!
I have an Audi A4 on a 2011 plate. The high pressure fuel pump disintegrated! I took it a local garage and they replaced it. In the process they replaced the lift pump, rail sensor, and timing belt, water pump etc.
I got it back after they told me it would cost £5800 to replace the entire fuel system as this was the only cure to stop it dropping into limp mode. On getting the car back and running it, because I was not going to pay that sort of money on a car which has done 160k miles. I put some fuel treatment in and it has performed better and better as the weeks have rolled on. Only limping every now and then.
The main issue I have is that when the car has been idling in traffic it is now difficult to start. This only happens when the car has been parked for 5 minutes or so after idling. If you start it straight away it will start no problem.
Any ideas or should I just send it to the scrap yard in the sky?
