Engine swap

Is it possible to swap out the B8 a4 engine and throw in a B8 s4 engine? If so what would I need to do so?

Yes. A lot. 3.0T swaps are documented around, particularly for wagons since we didn't get the S4 avant; search here and Audizine, and google search.

SMac even advised I give that a look. In my local area, availability on used engines is basically nonexistent. I think the best course would be to register with Copart or the like and attempt to find a wrecked version of what you want to swap to, whole. I would warn against front crashed in that you want to be SURE nothing hit the "harmonic balancer" or whatever it may be called in these. Side/rear crashed offers you the donor motor as well as it's harness, electronics, sensors and so forth.

Keep firmly in the front of your mind that Audi require special tools and electronics equipment to work on and make work as well. This isn't an LS swap...
