Front subframe

I have a 2010 A4q. A couple weeks ago my wife was driving slowly in a parking lot and hit a pothole(filled with water) deep enough for the sway bar to hit the asphalt. The mounting ear for the sway bar broke off the subframe. I made a claim with my insurance. How big of a job is it to replace the front subframe? DIY? Any special tools required? I am very experienced working on cars.

It won't be a joy for sure. Lower control arms will come off, engine will have to be hung as the motor mounts mount to it, steering rack will have to be removed, those seem to be the main objects. It's covered in the "running gear" aka suspension workshop manual.
