Headlights
I've had the dreaded light malfunction light on my dash since I bought my car, took it to Audi and they said they couldn't figure it out. Today I took both lights out of my car passenger side LED DRL bulb plug broken and the plug was melted . I'm guessing that was the problem. I've a new plug and bulbs. My question is why doesn't the DRL/ sidemarker bulb have a removable dust boot on it like the other bulbs ? It looked like they were sealed in the housing and the previous owner made a access hole then siliconed it up. Does anyone sell a custom boot for these two holes?

I assume you have the low end halogen headlamps? Since the bixenon use the LED DRL. You also don't mention the year, as B8.0 and B8.5 are different.

Curious. Guessing the 003B (left) / 004B (right) are just the numbers stamped on the housing piece, but you can't get the housing piece alone from Audi. parts.audiusa.com doesn't even know know 8k0 941 003b / 004b. So from an ordering perspective, it's 029b and 030b part numbers. Though you might find reference to the 003b and 004b part numbers in the used market. 14 - Parking Lamp/Daytime Running Lamp Housing Cover

So the caps are ordered to cover the bulb location once the original blown bulb has been cut out?
So that would be parts 2, 3, and 18 on the page I linked you originally, I would suspect.
