Oil burn = replace pistons
I purchased this at a non Audi dealer, but I am requesting Audi "certify" the car and provide the certified warranty as a commitment to the car and workmanship from this point forward.

Anything "break-in" would be tough to "certify"... I'm unsure how you would certify proper break-in. Blackstone oil analysis maybe? (anything less time and $ consuming other then tearing down the engine)

This made the added warranty a little easier to attain.

BTW, when looking up TSB's on our Audi the other day, I did notice a coolant TSB relating to coolant leaking (possibly loose fittings) but I believe it concerned the coolant leaking out onto the turbo housing.
My question to the Forum folks - what can I expect as a downside of having the engine repaired and re-assembled on a new car like this? Resale value? I wonder what else can go wrong?
Thanks!
Burning 1qt/ 1000 miles.
Audi says this is excessive after oil consumption test.
AoA tells dealer to tear down the engine. They find the pistons and rings were out of spec.
Result = replacing pistons and rings. Should have the car back next week.
This is concerning since the pistons probably came from the factory out of spec. That means there are more 2.0T's with bad pistons.
Just an FYI

Car started burning more than 1qt every 1,000 miles. Out of warantee. I did a proper break in when new and have been changing the oil every 5,000 - 7,000 Using Motul Specific 5W40. Called Audi dealer who told me there was a fix. They performed the following, no charge, the invoice says "Good Will":
Test Drive
J Separator
Screw
Seal
Perform Oil Consumption Test
Pressure Realease Value Remove+Reinstall
Crankshaft Oil Seal, Pulley End, Remove and Reinstall
Perform ECM Update
Lock Carrier Lossen+Fasten
I got car back. Oil topped up to max. Reset trip odometer to zero. 4 days and 235 miles later I justed checked the oil level in the MMI. It's down 1/4. So it looks like the "fix" was a no fix. I was really hoping the problem was solved. I really love the car and was planning on running it many years. I will call Audi to see what are next steps. This is a real bummer and a significant issue with an otherwise great car.
Anyone else have the same "fix" performed with no results? What do you all think next steps might be? I am going to remain hopeful. I have purchased 3 Audis. My dealership seems to care about good customer service.
