P0171 error

P0171 error
My 2009 had check engine light come on with this error code. "P0171 System too lean". Before I have to go for an out of warranty trip to the dealership are there any common things I can check for B8? I hear that can be any number of things, some quite trivial.

Anybody?
To test PCV I pulled the oil cap off with the engine running and there is some suction but not enough to make it difficult to remove the cap. From what I know the PCV valve is functioning properly.
I reset the code and the check engine light did not come back - it's been about 300 miles of driving.
Anything I should worry about?
