Default Problems with Audi website & customer service

So I have been looking for a 2010/2011 Certified A4 for several months. Have not been searching as hard the last couple. At some point Audi changed their website and no longer allow you to search by transmission. So basically it is worthless to me because I have to go through too many listing to find out if it is manual and they do not show the transmission on the results view.

I call Audi to complain and it was typical blah blah blah I will record your comments about website. Then of course all she does is push me towards working with a local dealer. It was comical. Dealers suck especially if you are looking for a specific certified car and not new. I have let my specs with 4 dealers and not single one has called me back.

I explained to her that in the Internet age local dealers are useless and that my enthusiasm is for Audi cars not the dealers.

Any suggestions and any ideas on how to better search for specific Audis nationwide. Also she pretty much admitted that dealers don't keep the website up to date. I wonder why *smh*

Thanks for the help

No one has called you because they probably haven't had one come in. A4's in a manual especially if you want something specific are extremely hard to find. Hell my 2011 6MT Titanium is the only one of I know of with the same equipment on the east coast in Quartz Gray. You're going to have to travel and scour the internet. That and be patient because what you want...there may only be a few of them in existance.

Try using a broker. I bought my '11 A4 Avant through a broker, and it saved me the hassle of inventory searches and negotiating prices. Of course, you pay a bit of a premium for the luxury and convenience of not ever having to work with the dealer directly, but in my book it was worth the extra money to have a car right now and to not have to haggle.

Peace,
alk

I second these good resources (*)

Finding manual transmissions can be extremely hard, especially in certain areas. In a 200 mile radius around Los Angeles, I usually sees roughly 10-15 manual cars. That's pathetic considering that covers perhaps 20 million people. The Bay Area has more in relative terms.

(*) the usefulness of these sites is sometimes compromised by stupid dealers. For instance, at some point I thought (to my astonishment) that there were over 50 manual C300s in the LA area, until I realized one dealership considered the equivalent of a tip to be a manual, to it listed its entire inventory as having manual trannys.
