Supplier Program Question
Howdy,
My wife is eligible for a 7% Supplier Purchase discount from Audi.
My question is can we still negotiate pricing prior to the discount? Does anyone have any experience with this sort of thing?

It never hurts to ask. I know under the supplier program I'm getting 6% off an A5. Before I told them I qualified for the program I was only able to get $1,150 off. Demand and low volume. After I told them I qualified for the supplier program I was only able to get half off the audi care and no additional money off the car. I think Audi covers 3% of the supplier program so there is room for the dealer to take more money off.

I bought my B8 A4 in Dec 6, 2008 using the Supplier Program. I received 6% off MSRP, but no discount on the Audi Care. The dealer offered me $400 over invoice, but then I asked if they honored the Audi Supplier Program as well since I work for Dell. He had to check, but then let me know that yes, I they did it too. He said though, that he couldn't go lower on the price than that, and asked what it would take for me to buy from him instead of my local dealer (he's in Dallas, I live in Austin). We discussed a few options and agreed upon him giving me tint, chrome exhaust tips installed, all-season floor mats, and the front license plate fascia.
I was happy with my purchase as I didn't have to do much haggling over the price. I worked most of the details out with my salesman through email and a few phone calls.
Hearing what others have said about using the supplier program, you might have better luck than I did about getting them to go lower on the price of the car itself than I did.
