Update on A4 delivery timeframe
Here is my timeline on ordering my '10 A4 Prestige
Order date 7-16-09
Mfg date 8-25-09
In port date 10-1-09 (not sure which port)
At Dealer 10-11-09 (Downtown LA Motors est.)
Pick up (during that following week)
This is 1 full month SOONER than the Audi ordering system projected immediately after my order was placed.
I will post the actual final delivery date and final pricing when
I take delivery.

Just curious, why did you not take European Delivery on a car you had to order because of MT and ADS?
The savings would allow you to have fun with a new car on the Autobahn for a week or two, you know visiting castles, drive fast, see the 500 yr old church, drive fast, have a roadside coffee, drive fast. Pass out when it costs $120. to fill up.

Actually the pricing I agreed on is $500 UNDER invoice.
That pricing was agreed to in principle 1 week before the new model year prices came out.
I would list the price quoted but I've been told I won't get that because either I'm dreaming or the dealer will not come thru. So we shall see what the final price and leasing/financing will end up at.
We took 2 other trips this year that made a trip to Germany a bit much to fit in.

Should not be any problem to get $500 under. $2600 under would be a great deal, but I doubt if Nick Shammas' widow who is the current owner or Darryl the son-in-law who is CEO would give me that deal today. Their Chevy dealer ran out of cars when they had the clunkers program going.

good luck, i hate the wait for a new car. i was really lucky with mine, order date was 07/04/2009 and i took delivery 09/09/2009.
next time i will look into european delivery not just for savings but for the experience.

I ordered my 09 last year in yearly september and didn't get it until mid december. Would never go through that again, too painful to wait that long. 2 months in I panicked that the dealer never put the order in. All worked out in the end, but I would like to just drive off the lot if possible next time.

I placed my order on August 18th, and the car is scheduled to be built this week (9/21), in port in the U.S. by the end of October, and at my dealer by the first or second week of November.
I heard a rumor that shortly after my order was placed, the wait times for A4 factory orders went way up due to higher ordering rates and/or reduced production at the factory.

Painful was to drive car in Europe for 2 week. Then wait 2 month when car get to Los Angeles. And then it's take port body shop another month to fix 3" bumper scratch, that I make in Milan. 3 moth total
