Default Vin decode

when i run thru my vin # through the decoder, it gives me a basic generic description of a Premium 2013 A4. Mine is an S Line but it’s not mentioned in the decoder and it doesn’t mention any options this particular car was sold with, is this correct and how can I find out what my car was originally optioned with?
thanks

You need the PR codes. See this link for more info. You can google Audi PR codes for a decoder.
Production Codes (PR-Codes) can be found on the Vehicle Data Label - Ross-Tech Wiki

PR codes are helpful, and provide some detail insight into the specifics of your build. But it won't quite give you the same presentation as a window sticker copy. For example, my car is a Prestige trim, which included the B&O sound system. But there's no PR code on my sticker for the audio system. Just 7D3, which simply means in-dash CD changer.

If you know your car is a Premium trim, it would be easy enough to just look through the options list in the 2013 A4 brochure and see what your car does and doesn't have.
https://www.thecollectionaudimiami.c...-brochures.htm
If you have the homelink buttons, you have the Convenience Package. If you have the LED running lights, you have the Lighting Package. Heated front seats were optional. Seems to be about it for a (US) 2013 A4 Premium.

But it seems you're in Canada, so you'll need to find the Canada brochures to see what was possibly for a 2013 A4 Premium in Canada.
https://cdn.dealereprocess.net/cdn/b...ca/2013-a4.pdf
Hmmm, seems they do the trim names differently up there. And their brochure doesn't detail much of anything about the ordering options.

You might try the dealership to see if they can provide a window sticker reprint for your VIN.

If you have the codes, and are able to see the info. For me, I need a new rearview mirror. The codes tell me I have the auto dimming with compass, but how would I be able to determine what color it was?

Your interior is a pair of PR codes at the top. For my car, my interior code is N1F which is leather G grain pattern + leatherette B grain pattern and GR which is cardamon beige. So when I look at the ETKA page for the interior mirror for my car, https://nemigaparts.com/cat_spares/e...q/636u/857400/, I look at object 18 and select the entry with -GR.

But here's where the PR codes can come up short. I don't have the PR code for the interior mirror on my PR sticker. I know mine is the automatic dimming with compass, so that leaves four options in beige: 4F0857511F Y22, 8R0857511A Y22, 8R0857511C Y22, 8T0857511B Y22. The Y22 is the part match to the GR (beige) PR code. If I put each of the four parts into parts.audiusa.com (a nice resource relevant since I have a US A4, not sure what parts catalog resource other national Audi organizations may or may not have), I see that 4F0857511F is superseded by 8R0857511A and that 8T0857511B is superseded by 8R0857511C. That leaves the question of 8R0857511A or 8R0857511C. Going back to the ETKA, the difference seems to be the PR code 9AK (for the 511A) vs 9AQ (for the 511C). I have neither PR code.

But if I look at the PDF of Audi PR codes out there on the Internet, 9AK is Climatronic climate control (ie, the Basis system) and 9AQ is air conditioning system plus (ie, the Comfort three-zone system). So the difference is the humidity sensor. But if we look at object 19 on the ETKA page, we see 9AQ will have it, but 9AK can have it if you have PR 7L4. Which is the start/stop system keyless system? Odd, but ok. I know I have the three zone higher end climate system in my car, so I'd go with the 511C Y22 mirror for myself.

Or you can just call your dealership parts department, give them your VIN, and ask what is the part number for your interior rearview mirror. :-)

The dealer's ETKA system will actually pull up all the PR codes for an inputted VIN and only show parts that apply to your car (including the specific interior color parts). It also shows other neat info like the exact day your car was built.
