Based on what I've read/seen, we need one more box that takes VGA input and outputs component/composite. Have you experimented with car pcs at all?

im myfasta4 in audizine, but i used the 3.5mm adapter, via aux ,
all xcarlink does is over write the vedio source to the lcd, so you can have any kind of sound playing in the background.

You use the Aux in the arm rest or do you have the cable for the MMI?

OK, very cool. eBay time to grab that cable! Any chance you can confirm whether or not 4F0 051 510 C is the correct part #? I remember that there were apparently multiple AMI iPod cables out there, depending on whether or not you had Nav or not. I don't for what it's worth.

this is what I got , I would assume it's the same, it was the lowest I found, but a quick check on eBay might be good.
you can always call the dealer to confirm, those guys valley were helpful when I called.

i got tired of looking at the wires in the glove box , i got an electronic project case and stuck the xcarlink in it , made some holes on the side for a/v input and used velcro to attach to the top of glove box.
just a thought.

Not a bad idea at all! I was just going to fit it behind the dash somewhere, but this is a definite option!

Damnit, different part #. That means the one I have is for Navi. Sucks because I could have gotten it for $23 w/shipping!
