The difference between 2 DSGs
I am finding that the DSG in the A4 is 'clunkier' than the A5's DSG.
Let's define clunky. In the A4 I can sometimes 'feel' the shifts regardless of D or S setting. In the A5 I almost never feel the shifts.
In the A4 sometimes when coming to a stop I feel a 'clunk'. Have never felt that in the A5.
Is this a case of different programming between the cars or is there some 'adjustment' that is needed. In my BMW with SMG you could pull both paddles in N when going downhill to make the SMG 'adjust' which make internal adjustments based on tire wear and temperature. That almost always smoothed out the shifts. Is there something similar in the DSG?
