Does a new battery need to be coded?
My "new" car should be arriving tomorrow. And while it's in very good condition, I suspect it is still on the original battery. So I will likely be replacing the battery pretty soon.
Is a battery covered under CPO? (I doubt it but figured I'd ask)
Ideally I'd like to get an AGM battery.
Anything I need to know?
Thanks
Peter

It needs to be AGM.
I have my eye on this one:

Or this one:

OEM battery on the B9 should be AGM and you should replace with AGM. I don't know about pre B9 A4s; but, the B9 makes fairly heavy demands on its battery. Stand around your B9 after you turn it off and you can hear stuff running (after run cooling pump, radiator shutters). The parasitic loads are significant. Since you live where it gets sort of cold, if you do much short hop driving you might want to consider the addition of something like a Ctek charger (Ctek just because that is what Audi in Canada buys and sticks an Audi sticker on then charges double price at the dealer).
