Intercooler question
*** I have done the prerequisite searches (unless I am not searching for the right key words) and could not find my answers, so if there is a post somewhere that I should read, please let me know***
My A4 currently has the the following mods:
However, once I had the intercooler installed, I immediately noticed/felt the car pulled harder when I was driving and needed to pass. I also felt it was quicker when accelerating from a stop. On the APR site, it mentions that the intercooler "increases HP while minimizing power robbing heat soak". Other threads/forums seem to indicate that an intercooler upgrade does result in HP gains.
My question is, does anyone have any experience with APR IC or have installed an intercooler for their A4 and noticed the same?

- AWE Switchpath exhaust
- ECS instake

Did you install intercooler with upgraded charge pipes/turbo muffler delete?
If so, yes the difference is expected as you will have less restrictive flow in and out. I have the ECS kit on mine, and definitely feel the difference.

The APR kit does include the inlet and outlet pipes/hoses like the charge kit with ECS. No turbo muffler delete, but not sure how much that would contribute to the power gains.
