Recognizing a B9
Hi all, quick silly question. What are the exterior features in the B9 that can help me quickly pick one out from previous models. Not that it is a big deal of course but it bugs me when I see one, think it is a B9, only to figure out it is not. The horror! Thanks!

The biggest difference will be the headlights. The first picture is the model without LEDs, the second is with LEDs and the third picture is the back LED tail lights which come on all B9 models in addition there will be those orange side markers on the fender in the front and two red ones in the rear. Also another feature which is barely visible in picture 3 is the dual exhaust pipes, one on each side. The B8s had dual but they were both on one side. Also the rims may give it away too if the car has stock rims. As for the inside there is a HUGE difference between the B8 and B9. Biggest noticeable changes is the vents and the screen.
Check out this blog! It compares B8s vs B9s.

I'd say the easiest from the front is the "ski marks" on the hood, shape of the grill and side mirrors on the door panels. The dual exhausts depends on the market and engine. (I have it on my V6 B8.) As someone mentioned an A3 Sedan is rather similar to A4 B9.
