Default Spacers help!

Hello!

Few months ago I bought 2017 Audi B9 S-Line on 19 inch wheels (OEM I think). Recently put on new summer tires 255/35/19 Firestone Indy 500 and painted the Calipers red. I am looking into getting spacers to widen the stance. After doing some research it seems ECS would be the best place to get them.

ECS has a flush kit for 19inch wheels for this car 10mm front and 10mm back. But most ppl here seems like they have done 10mm front and 12.5mm back. Not sure which ones to order and also note I have not lowered the car and probably will not.

Also will these spacers have vibration issues or compromise steering and ride quality? This car just a daily driver and probably won’t see a track!

Appreciate your feedback!

Needs a wash!

I went 12.5mm on the front and back with my spacers, but I have the 18in's that come with the S+ package. I'm not sure what the offset of the 19's are but I believe it's ET42. So 10mm spacers in the front sounds about right. Make sure you get the proper length bolts, as your OEM ones will no longer work with spacers. I believe ECS has a package that comes the the proper length bolts. I personally have Turner Motorsport spacers, but as long as the spacers you're buying are hub-centric, you can't really go wrong with a brand. What I felt after installation was slightly improved steering feel (maybe better turning radius i don't know, just feels better). The smoothness of the ride is also very slightly compromised, meaning you'll feel bumps in the road a little more than you use to. I like a stiff ride so it doesn't bother me.

Thanks for your feedback!

ECS Tuning spacer kits come with the right size bolts I believe. Just wondering if I should go 10mm front and back or 10mm front and 12.5 back on the 19inch wheels...

Do you have any more photos of your wheels with the 255 and Indy 500s? It may be my next tire, but Audi calls for 245 on the A4s and 255s on the S4s.

The new 2020 S4s have the exact same Black Optic sport wheels I have on my vehicle and mine came with 245 from the factory whereas the S4 has 255. I wonder why that is the case as the wheels are the same offset.

The previous tires on these wheels where Hanook 245/35/19. When I got new tires last week I went for 255//35/19 Firestones as the tires are wider. After reading reviews and consulting with tire specialists who installed them said it was fine with 255s on these wheels. These Firestone tires are fantastic and no issues with 255.

Yes it’s weird why Audi did that. Maybe save costs with A4? Anyway I’d def get 255s on those wheels and Indy 500 are fantastic for the price!

Will post pics after I get spacers and car wash.
