Throttle Issues
2017 A4 runs good but randomly it will throw an error on the dashboard that says cruise control disabled and the car no longer accelerates at normal rate but still maintains speed. Have tried to pull codes but it doesn't seem to show in basic OBD scan I have done. If I push the gas pedal all the way down it doesn't seem to happen but if I light foot it during on ramp or something similar it will throw the error and the only way to clear it is to turn the car on and off.

Are you using a generic OBDII scanner? In general, generic scanners don't play well with VW / Audi products and almost certainly will not be ale to read the range of Audi specific error codes. You need a scanner that supports the extended VW / Audi error code set. VCDS and OBDeleven are low cost examples of VAG enabled scan tools.

I am not familiar with OBDeleven; but, I would assume that it has a function that allows you to scan for all active, pending and prior error codes (that have not been cleared)? The description of the Drive System Malfunction warning light is very limited for my 2021 and doesn't really provide any useful information other than the fact that something bigger might be cooking.
Out of curiousity, does this error / problem only occur when the cruise control is active or can it occur anytime? If it can occur without the cruise control being active it might be unrelated to the cruise control and what you might be experiencing with the throttle is the car going into a limp mode. Are you getting any misfires when this is happening? Does OBDeleven allow you to monitor for DTCs in real time. You might be getting some errors that are pending; but, then clear if everything returns to normal.

Sounds similar to the earliest symptoms of the turbo wastegate shaft problem that I just fixed. At first it was only when the engine had had a good heat soak (driven to full operating temp and then off for a half hour or so) and under mild acceleration.

The "Drive System: Malfunction!" is a completely meaningless modern version of the dashboard idiot light.
Buy a real code reader or hire a professional.

Cruise control seems to remove the problem all together if I engage it. If I accelerate with the gas pedal slowly it seems to cause the problem the most. Say I go from a stop to 55mph if I press the pedal to the floor its fine if I give it about 75% throttle you can almost feel it in the car not accelerating at full speed and then it trips the error and disables the use of cruise control all together. Was leaning towards a accelerator/throttle body issue since it only happens with the gas pedal controls and not cruise control operation.

I can replicate the issue from a short drive to long without any real difference between the two from what I can tell. I did have the waste gate issue and did the adjustments I could and got that error to go away all together its been two years at least on that.

OBDeleven should have been able to pick up a P2563 DTC.
