I did - acura didn't impressed at all - slower acceleration, zero feedback from steering, interior feels cheap compare to audi. But you should try it by yourself - its all personal opinions...

Acura is generally not even included in this segment. If you read the reviews, you'll see that the A4 is being compared to BMW and Mercedes and almost always beating them. They don't even bother to compare against Acura. It's a shame because I had a 2005 TL that was absolutely a perfect car. Acura has really fallen off its game the last few years.

I test drove the TLX SHAWD after testing the A4 Quattro. Having driven and loved a 07 TL for 200K miles, I was heavily disappointed in the handling and ride characteristics of the car after pushing it through some backroads . It felt boaty if you know what I mean. Power was meh for being a V6 and the cockpit was not visually pleasing. I knew then I was switching brands. The A4 was love at first drive just like that TL felt 10 years before. Happy Hunting

My previous car was a 2013 TL SH-AWD with the Advanced package. It was reliable, managed snow well - and boring as hell. The difference in handling between it and the A4 is dramatic, even though the TL had the V6 engine. Although the interior of the TL was good, it wasn't nearly as nicely done as the A4. The only thing I preferred in the TL was the ease of managing its navigation system. Easier to do than the Audi version.
Oh - and fuel economy in the A4 is MUCH better, either in town or on the highway.

I actually still have my 03 manual CL-S.
The main reason I got the A4 is I am being the care giver for my parents at this time and the 2 door car is getting to the point where they cant get in and out of the car anymore. But I wasn't going to get crap for the car in trade in or private sale and it made almost no change in my yearly insuranced to keep the car.
And I agree with others that the hadeling is so much better in the A4 and gas mileage is much better
