Nav disk eject problem
Hi. I'm Dale. I just joined the forum today. I have a 2008 A4 Cab quattro with Nav+. I bought the car last week and noticed that the Nav DVD was locked in the unit. I had the dealer unlock the unit and I installed a factory nav disk in the unit to upgrade. One week later I got the latest version of the nav DVD 2010/2011 and the disk was locked in the unit again. I took the car to another dealer and they had trouble unlocking the unit as they said they were unfamiliar with unlocking disks. I thought that was unusual. They did manage to unlock the unit but couldn't guarantee that it would stay unlocked. I installed the new DVD and it works perfectly. It even ejected several times when I was at the dealer. I drove home about 10 miles away and the unit is locked again. Does anyone know how to unlock the unit and keep it unlocked? I had a 2006 A4 cab with the same Nav unit and I never had a problem ejecting the disk. I searched the forums for this problem but found none with the multiple unlock problem. Thanks
