Default 2013 A6 Prestige - fast order to ETA delivery time

I ordered my 2013 A6 Prestige on May 23 and just received the shipping info today from my dealer (6/16/12):

Order date: 5/23/12
Released for production: 5/25/12
Factory Inspected: 6/12/12
Arrived at Departure Port: 6/14/12
Ship Loaded: 6/14/12
ETA to Port (Davisville, RI): 6/25/12
ETA Release to Carrier: 6/29/12
ETA Dealer Delivered: week of 7/2/12

I have a great relationship with my dealer who was able to assign one of their April ordered dealer allocated A6's to me which put me at the head of the line for an ordered car - it actually started production 2 days after my order which is incredible. My last Audi took 3 full months to arrive after order. If all goes according to schedule (ship doesn't hit an iceberg, break down or get lost, port guys don't decide to strike or take really long lunches) this one will only take about 6 weeks total (my dealer is only about 1 hour from the port).

I'm impressed - that's terrific service. Needless to say, I'm starting to think about getting itchy palms.

On order: 2013 A6 Prestige, Quartz Gray, black interior, LED, 19" sport pkg, driver assist pkg, cold weather and B&O.

Woohoo! Can't wait to see pics and a review, especially with the changes to MY2013. I'm on the fence between a MY2012 and MY2013.

There are very few changes to the 2013 A6; a couple of packages features have been revised, 18" sport is gone, added sunshades option and a 360 camera view (in the Innovation pkg in lieu of the LED headlights which is a separate option now) and the pricing is not much different apples to apple. No cosmetic changes that I'm aware of.

The only notable "feature" that's been added is Stop & Go which I don't believe is going to be a plus in my mind. Other than the above, it's pretty much the same A6 we've come to love.

I will add my "wow, look at my A6" photos soon after delivery.

This is funny, my 2013 A6 is on the very same ship as yours!! I'm quite excited to say the least, maybe the carrier will deliver to Maine first instead of MA? Wishful thinking huh?

I've been tracking the Neptune Ace which left Emden around 6/14 which is when my order confirms it was loaded on a ship. This is the only ship showing on the VW schedule with an ETA of 6/25 to Davisville, RI. It's in Halifax as of today but marinetracker.com now indicates the next port is Brunswick, GA. So I'm thinking my car may not actually be on that ship. Looking at the VW schedule nothing else lines up with a Davisville ETA of 6/25 so something doesn't jibe. The next arrival to Davisville is the Carnation Ace that is now loading in Emden with an ETA of 7/2. That would mean my car couldn't have confirm loaded on 6/14 as stated on my order as the Carnation was somewhere near Scotland on 6/14.
Guess I'll just have to wait and see. AOA told me the 2013 A6's can't be released to a dealer until 6/29 in any case as that's the official "dealer sale" date.
If your dealer is in Maine, your Audi can only come from the ports of Halifax (less likely) or Davisville, RI (more likely)- Audis don't use any other NE ports of arrival. My dealer is only an hour away from Davisville. While customer ordered cars are processed first at port, it still can take anywhere from 4-8 days to clear and load on ground transport.

I was told today my car was factory inspected on the 12th, loaded on the 14th w/ETA into RI on 6/25 & ETA to carrier on the 29th which all line up with what you had written before. Something seems screwy, I wonder if the destination of GA is somehow wrong?

Btw my Audi dealer is located in Bangor, ME.

Also do you have a link on how to track these ships? Thanks

Very nice! That was a short wait. I'm in negotiations for a MY2012 A6 now. Hoping to be driving it by next week.

I have a feeling our order reports showing 6/14 load on ship are incorrect. The Neptune Ace departed on 6/12 - too soon and it's now headed to Brunswick from Halifax. The Carnation Ace left Emden for Davisville on 6/8 also too soon. The next ship is the Marina Ace which is just about to depart Emden with an ETA of 7/2 to Davisville. I have a feeling the VW schedule is wrong re the Neptune Ace and our cars are on the Marina Ace; a week later than our orders indicate. If so, I would guess the car would be processed and loaded on a truck around 7/6-7/8 plus however long it takes to dealer. Then a couple of days to prep before delivery.
Well, I guess no car in time for July 4th. Sigh.

Well I was originally told that my car should show up around 7/16 but just yesterday they were going with this new schedule. Maybe what I was initially told is correct?

If you hear anything new please let me know, oh and thanks for the links.
