2013 with Androd Phone??
Anybody willing to pass on some experience, recomendations for when my car comes in?
Thanks
I had to pair both the telephone, and the music streaming - very straightforward, I just followed the MMI instructions.
For the telephone, after 3-4 minutes, the Audi had imported my contact list, called numbers, incoming numbers, and missed numbers, all of which show up neatly in the center of the instrument console. I have since paired two more android phones to it with no problem. It will connect to the first phone it sees in the car, but its easy to switch through the MMI if you want a different one. Making calls, or answering are intuitive from the left side of the wheel, although I would wish for a way to scroll more quickly through the contact list (I have a BUNCH). Voice commands work well... "Call Joe Smith" works just fine, and will let you choose which number you want if there are multiple associated with the contact.
For the streaming music, I like TuneWiki as my music player of choice, I have not been able to get it to A2DP stream to the Audi. The basic music player that came on the phone works well, although I have not found an easy way to navigate through artists/songs from the wheel or MMI (I can switch between songs on a given album, but have not been able to select artist/album. Net : It needs to be driven from the phone, not MMI. I do not have Album Art through bluetooth streaming.
I understand Pandora and other streaming apps work very well, although I have not tried it yet.
Hope that helps...

Good luck with everything!
Thanks for the info. I have had the chance to play with my phone in the car. It connects fine with blue tooth and will stream, using any one of the players but no album art. The only way I found that to work was to copy over my directories from my Hard Drive to an SDCard and then load them into the Jukebox. Album art neve showed up, with streaming, or even directly reading from the SD card.
What I didnt' get a chance to play with was navigating through the songs/albums, and from what your saying, not the most intuitive system for use on the steering wheel.
Do you use any cable (red or blue etc.) for your phone or do you stick with just a regualar power cord with micro usb connection to charge it.
SGroer -- Sorry to hear that it was a deal breaker for you. I love my music, so I chose to find a work around for it. I have no issue with swapping out music on the jukebox as needed. But 10 gig (approx size of jukebox) is a huge amount of music.
thanks for the input guys

I use the blue cable for my old ipod. No album art, but navigating the music s pretty straightforward. I generally choose by Artist, but I see my playlists there too.
To charge my phone, I use a plug for the power outlet that has two USB connections... that way I can pretty easily have two phones charging, but Im using BT to stream the music. I wonder why TuneWiki is not working... Ill try one of the other players as a test. Im guessing something in the config of TuneWiki, but I dont see any place to enable BT streaming.
The A6 has SO many options for music sources as to be sublime. Ultimately, I plan on migrating my library to an SD card, and importing into the juke box, but that is still low on my priority list as the old iPod works fine, and I dont use it for anything else. I also think Ill pick up a red cable eventually - I would like to have the album art.

As everyone has mentioned, Android phone works fine for phone related uses, the Media via BT is somewhat limited. Hoping when the MicroUSB MMI cable comes in, the integration would be better and have a similar experience to the ipod cable for Apple products.
Will provide an update once the cable comes in.

Not sure if our US based MMI software is the issue here since the cable came from Germany. I can only hope to have the MMI software updated and see if that alleviates the problem.

If that link doesnt work then to make it easier: Audiusa.com>Experience>Innovation>check your phone settings
When you put in your carrier and phone then you will be able to see which OS has been tested to work with the car. If your OS is not listed then theres no guarantee that it will function correctly.

Wow, that's pathetic (and frustrating!). Maybe additional functionality will come with an update, like you suggested? I guess we'll see. Oh, well. Thanks for the update!
