2016 navigation update
FYI
I just wanted to let everyone know that today my navigation maps updated via wireless. It told me that there were new updates and asked to start download and install it. It then told me it wasn't going to use my audio connect data. It took a while but downloaded and installed by itself. No more needing to download from the website and manually installing it.

Yes, that happened yesterday to mine also. It had me OK the states for updating,being the tri-state area that I drive in. My concern it that other updates for other states have been uploaded.

Ditto for me last week but mine downloaded and was ready to roll in 15 minutes here in Sedona AZ. You can watch the download progress in the lower left little icon on the main screen of a 2016 A6 3.0T prestige.
I did notice the first two times I restarted my car after the update that their was a brief blue data upload bar progressing across the middle of my screen while it was showing regular non-Googleearth standard GPS maps , but within a couple minutes both times, the Google maps was up and running and it seems even cleaner and more responsive than before the update.
Now a week later when I start my car while in NAV > Google earth it shows that blue data bar for only 5 to 7 secs and the blue data progress line starts off at 95% complete before quickly flipping into Google Earth.
Definitely a crisper and much better annotated version of this Southwestern US/Northern Mexico regional map they uploaded..
On another topic, I'm still loving my 20" 255/35-R20 Conti ExtremeContact DWS-06 tires!! And PS as a full 50 year diehard Bronco fan at age 64 I'm still
waking with a big grin after that awesome defensive performance last Sunday to win the Lombardi! :-)

I won $120 from a Co-worker on the game. We bet $20 and he gave me 6:1 odds. He thought the Broncos were lucky to get there and the panthers were going to "pounce" all over them.

It is free for the 2016 Models and only a certain number of downloads. It was all online download, but that link seemed to have disappeared. Maybe people were downloading and sharing with others?
