I just purchased a cherry, low mileage 2013 A6 Premium Plus. I am astounded to discover that there are no cornering lights. Yet I see a clear lens in a slot in each outside mirror and what appears to be a light in each. My 2012 base model VW CC had cornering lights, what gives with Audi at twice the price and no cornering lights??

Thanks tenspeed, but there is nothing on that thread about what appear to be factory disabled cornering lights mounted in the outside mirrors of my 2013 A6.

In 2013 cornering lights were an option in the Premium Plus trim and standard in the Prestige trim.

OP, we may have some confusion understanding your question. The only lights in the mirror that I'm aware of are the turn signal flasher lights but no "cornering" lights. Cornering lights are defined as coming on automatically to light the road during a turn and are located in the headlight assemblies. As Kevin stated, they were standard on the Prestige trim. (I don't see they were even an option on other trims in the 2013 Order Guide).

Ah, thanks. I see a small lens, adjacent to and behind the turn signal lens in the headlight assembly. It doesn't light at all. is that where cornering lights appear? Are corning lights a Prestige level option only? My base model VW CC had cornering lights in the slotted lenses in the outside mirrors, which look like the same mirrors as the A6. Strange that A6's don't come with them.

Are you asking about the adaptive headlight feature or the turn signals in the side view mirrors?

As I mentioned in my post, my 2013 Audi order guide mentions cornering lights for the Prestige only and I don't see an option for Premium Plus. The lenses may be there but they may not work. If they do, it's only under certain conditions.
Do you have your manual? All should be explained within.

My owner's manual for the 2013 A6 does not mention cornering lights anywhere that I can find. Nothing in the index. I've read virtually every word in the manual.

I can only point to my 2013 A6 manual which mentions static cornering liights on page 41. It also notes not all models have this feature. For example, I have LED headlights but in the Order Guide it shows they are available on Prestige even though LED headlight were a separate option. In any case, I doubt you have them on a Premium Plus.

EDIT: The Prestige had "Adaptive Headlights" which swiveled when going into a turn but the Static Cornering lights replaced them when equipped with the optional LED headlights.
