Default Aggressive wheel offset ?

I have a 2012 A6 with the stock 18x8 ET 39 wheels. I am looking at a set of 20x9.5 ET 35 wheels. According to the 1010 calculator I will lose 15mm inner clearance and push out 23mm toward the fender. That's almost a full (.905) inch out.

Anyone know if this will fit and if it does what about with springs? I have eibach pros in the box to go on when the wheels do. Unfortunately, this isn't a situation where I can test fit the wheels because they are located in another state.

Thanks!

I have 20x9.5 ET 39 with the sport springs...not sure if this helps but if I dropped another half inch I wouldn't rub.

For my track set-up I have the A7 wheels, 20x9 ET 37 with 275/35 20 tires. The car sits pretty low about 26.5 inches from ground to rear fender. This set-up did rub the inner lining a little until I cut a small portion out. So for what you are trying the wheels should not cause any problems so long as you are using stock tire size. I put your data into this web page http://www.rimsntires.com/specspro.jsp and it indicated no problems, again using stock tire size.

I just purchased those exact A7 wheels, 20 x 9. I have a '14 A6 Quattro, 3.0, that came stock with 18's. The 20" wheels should be here in a couple days, and purchasing tires at a local Discount Tire. Discount tire recommended 275/35/R20. Seems that's the stock tire for the A6, but not sure it will fit my car.

You mentioned that you had to cut the lining a bit, as you were getting some rubbing? Where and how much did you have to cut?

If I have rubbing, at least Discount Tire will simply order something else, i.e. I won't be on the hook for the 275's. But seems you made it work???

Also, did you have to re-set computer at all given change in wheel/tire diameter?

I stopped using the 275/35/20 tires because of the rubbing both front and rear. I had this rubbing most likely because of my lowered suspension. The stock tire size is not the 275 but the 255/35/20 size. The other part of the rubbing equation is the offset for the A7 wheels is 37mm vs, 45mm for the stock 20 inch wheels.
