AMI + Android
Just picked up a low mileage 2013 A6 and still trying to figure out the ins and outs of this car. Is there a way to integrate an Android with the MMI, whether through AMI or Bluetooth? Most importantly, I'd like to be able to stream my music through Spotify and have some functionality (pause, next song) through the car's controls.

If you bought a CPO, it should have came with an AMI cable located under the middle console. Plug in your device and go to Media>(Your device) and voila! You can now stream audio and use the car's controls. (Unfortunately, you can't stream audio solely through Bluetooth -- at least not in my car =/)

Car only came with an AMI cable for a last gen iPhone. So if I get an AMI cable that connects to my MotoX (micro-USB), the phone will link to the car's interface and I can play and control Spotify seamlessly?

There is no dedicated AMI cable for Android as such. You can purchase a universal AMI-USB cable but will have limited MMI functionality compared to an iPhone (for streaming Spotify via an AMI cable, you will have to control Spotify from the phone). Or, as stated previously, you can stream from your Android phone via Bluetooth with next song capability in the MMI.
