Anyone get their software update to show album art

I'm not sure if this is relevant, but my car (bought 6/2/12) shows album art for all of the songs I've uploaded to the jukebox via SD card. I haven't bought an IPOD yet or tested via the connector (I wish it had just come with a regular USB cable for my galaxy nexus.. is there one available?)

Anyone using the red grommet iPod cable for album art on mmi?
I have the red grommet cable but an older iPod, pre iPod touch. It does have album art on it but it won't show up on the mmi screen. I just bought a new 64gb iPod touch. Will this solve my problem?

So just got denied twice by Audi USA they said there is no available software update. I know there is no scheduled update, but why is it physically not possible. Audi tired to decried i that way. That my car is uniquely capable of it's software version. I wanted to know specifically what supposedly makes it impossible but was not told at the time

I'm waiting for my refurbished 64gb ipod touch to arrive from apple. hoping it works, but doubting it now. I did get the dealer to give me a red cable, so I saved a little there. I'll try for the software upgrade but not holding out too much hope.
