Thank you.. I now have downloaded the app by changing the country in iTunes...
But,I have problems making it work..
Here is what I did:
  1. Connected iPhone to the car's WiFi
  2. Started the App in iPhone
  3. The App keeps searching for the MMI - never seems to find it
  4. I do not see the iPhone in my Media 'source' choices
Not sure how you were able to connect ... can you pl post instructions, when convenient?
Is there a particular firmware version needed to make it work?

Like the rest of the MMI interface, it's buggy. You've got to select the Wifi option in "source" (not AMI or Bluetooth). Then you just have to let it sit there and search for the connection. It can take several minutes. You can listen to the regular radio while it is trying to connect.

So is the entire benfit here that you do not need the cable to connect the iPhone to the radio, or is there more?

This is supposed to work just like bluetooth audio, but., you can select the station, etc from within the MMI, instead of on the phone.

BTW, for me, I do not see the Wifi option in "source" at all

I did everything humanly possible ... connected WiFi, bluetooth, etc... cannot seem to find the Wifi option in "source" ...

It's actually called "AMS" (sorry about that) but it has the antenna/wifi icon next to it. Check out the OP pictures.

I believe the advantage is, it's like the current ability for Bluetooth playing of internet music source Pandora or Spotify from the iPhone but instead of having to change stations on the phone itself, you will be able to change the Audi Music stations using the MMI like the other currently available media sources. No more fumbling with the phone while driving. With all the media options already available on the A6, it's a nice added and convenient source option but isn't a game changer IMO.

Internet radio stations suck don't waste your time. Seriously does anyone have one they like?

While not an internet "radio station" per se, I like Pandora's channels and frequently use it via bluetooth. The sound is decent if not spectacular.
