Default Customize A6 (with help)

As previously posted, my A6 got rear ended so I changed the rear valance, added dual tips, changed some badging and semi-painted the front calipers.

Nice upgrade on the valance. The tips could be a little larger.

I like how you taped to the license plate to hold the lid down.

There is a story behind that - the kick to release trunk never works when you want it to but after the accident I walked around the back and sure enough, it worked. Unfortunately, the trunk/bumper was tweaked and I could not close it and I could not find a way to tie it down so I had to tape it.

I agree, the tips could be a bit larger but they look fine from a normal angle. That picture was taken with the camera close to the ground.

It was a smart move to keep the tape off the paint. I remember your other post about the trunk release sensor not working since the accident.

It still doesn't work but I have since found out that there are sensor wires under the valance with a connector so I will have to do some research. The body shop had not even heard of that feature and they are Audi authorized. I did post if anyone knows anything about the operation of this sensor but it seems to work on magic or moon phase and nobody was sure which one!

I found them on E Bay from the UK. You have to specify which color text and you get 6 decals in 3 sizes approx. $15. I bought black caliper paint and then realized that the black text would not work too well so I used the white paint instead.

I think that I will change the caliper cover to black and then use the S Line stick on chrome badges that I also purchased but I will let the white go for a while.

will you paint the calipers with a brush or is this a spray on application? I'd be concerned with overspray on the car (unless you wrap the entire thing)

There is a plate in the middle of the caliper and that is the only part that I sprayed. Remove the wheel and a single Torx holds on the plate. Easy to paint and apply transfers or badges and then reassemble.
