Default Dynamic mode

When the car is set to Dynamic, is that the same Sports mode? Much like the Sports gear in the A4. Noticed when the car was switched to Dynamic, a letter 'S' lit up on the dash. When back in Comfort, went back to 'D'

The S comes from the gear shift, you shift it back to get to "S" at least that's in my car. The dynamic mode changes the steering mostly.

dynamic setting will also affect the stearing feel and response. in europe it would affect the shock stiffness as well. Sport is just higher revving gear changes.

I think it also affects the throttle response.

The only difference in the A6/C7 with the Dynamic setting vs. Sport Mode is the steering feel. Both modes affect throttle and transmission mapping. In other Audis with ADS, Dynamic setting also affects suspension.

I can see how the "S" indicator for "Dynamic Mode" and the "D" indicator for "Comfort mode" is confusing.....

"S" & "D" do not indicate Dynamic or Comfort Mode - They indicate your transmission selection

Well, for all modes "D" is just 'drive'.

When you are in Dynamic mode it switches to "D>S" for 'sport drive'. If you tap the GearSelector down and change to "D" it will take you out of Dynamic mode

in Comfort & Auto modes if you tap the GearSelector down when you are in "D", you can enable the "D>S" sport drive for those modes. Tapping it down again reverts you back to "D".

Now I understand!

So there is no need to even activate the Dynamic mode throught the MMI, just gear select down is sufficient for both Dynamic and Comfort modes.

Unless you also want to tighten up the steering...
