Default Engine block plug

Hello all. Trying to finish a head swap on my wife’s 2012 A6 Quattro 3.0T. After removing the crankshaft lock pin, I discovered my plug is missing. After spending several mornings and a couple evenings searching for it, I decided to toss in the towel and just order another one. This endeavor is proving to be every bit as challenging as searching for the lost one. My question for this topic; does anyone know the proper name of this plug? Part number? Vendor?
Thanks Guys

You will find the old once you order the new. That is how home mechanic life rolls. Check the locking kit box to see if you tossed it there for safe keeping.

Thanks Sallad. I might do that. Rather expensive for a plug, especially with 36 dollars shipping.
Good advice Valpo. Not in there either though. Just finished bolting in the heat shields on that side. I think those were the worst part of the job so far. 😩

Yup... that's why I have four 10mm sockets, a few 13mm sockets. I think I loose them, go buy a new one, day later find the lost one. haha

As for sealing the hole, any junkyards near you? I'm sure any VW or Audi would have one that fits. Or even a short bolt with the same thread pitch as the hole, put a small O Ring or crush washer on the bolt and be done. Its only a sealing plug, nothing structural, just needs to hold back splashes of oil, no real pressures.

Disregard what I said about the shipping. I see the shipping is free. I had ECS TUNING confused with a different website.
Anyway, thanks again for the heads up. I ordered that one so by the time I get radiator and front end back together, that final detail should come sliding in and I’ll change oil and top off the coolant.
As an aside, the reason for doing this job is due to a bad misfire on 6. My own diagnosis led me to suspect a burnt valve.
