A few questions about the 2012 A6 before I place an order
I've been thinking of purchasing a new 2012 A6 (maybe 2013 A6 at this point), and I have a few questions about the car for those of you who own the 2012 US models.
I did some initial research but there were few things I couldn't find the definite answers for.
1) Does it have a tire pressure monitoring system?
2) If you get the night vision assistant (part of innovation package), can you move the night vision display from the dashboard to the mmi, so I can display something else on the dashboard?
3) Is the parking assistant system a self-parking system, or is it just displaying the back of the car using the rear view camera?
Does it come with any parallel parking assistant of any kind?
4) If you want to get the beige interior, is it possible to get dark carpets instead of the light-colored carpets that come with the interior? (The A7 seems to have a dark carpet option, but I can't see it for the A6 on Audi's website, so I was wondering.)
5) The active lane assist and power trunk options don't seem to be available on the 2012 model...can these features be somehow installed separately later if I get the 2012 model?
Thanks a lot in advance-

3) Is the parking assistant system a self-parking system, or is it just displaying the back of the car using the rear view camera?
Does it come with any parallel parking assistant of any kind? Nope. It's sensors and the rearview. 2013 has 360 degree cameras available

Thanks a lot in advance-
Post#8 has a PDF of the order guide.
If you are not in a rush, it sounds like the 2013 model may be a better fit for you.

Parking assistant is not a self parking system. It is a backup camera with proximity sensors at all four corners, it works well
Can’t comment on the other stuff, good luck, you will like your new A6.

Actually, while I love the backup camera, I find the beeping to be incredibly annoying. Anyone know how to kill the damned beeps, but retain the camera view? I tried turning the volume down to minimum, but it is still a pain. Especially the sensors in the front.
