I came out of Target and that is what I saw. I assume it just fell off somewhere, although I have never noticed it to be loose... Anyway couldn't find it.

I'm totally confused about replacing this. I have a 2013 Prestige, so I need to make sure it has the chrome, but the part descriptions are very confusing. I also assume I have to get it painted. I have a feeling that this little thing is going to cost me a lot of money.

Any chance that this gets covered under my CPO extended warranty?

Times like this I wish I didn't live over an hour from my dealer so I could just drop in and ask.

Pick up the phone and give the dealer a call. I'm sure they can enlighten as to everything that is necessary. Then you can shop around and see if you can significantly reduce your costs. At a minimum you will have a baseline to work with. Best of luck!

Yeah, gave them a call this morning. They are figuring out a cost and checking on the warranty although they said it most likely isn't covered because it is "trim".

Oh course this also made me notice that the little light in that handle is out, I never would have noticed before...

Yeah I saw that and the line drawings of the Audi part, the problem is mine has Chrome on the top and it is confusing what actual part that is. Dealership didn't get back to me yet...

Items 9 w/ chrome, $83. You will have to paint to match.

Any autobody supply store can put color matched paint, with hardener, in a spray can for about $35 / can.
