Headlight Switch Changing From Auto to Off Position
On my 2013 A6 (C7), I've noticed that sometimes my headlight switch gets moved from the Auto position to the Off position. Is there some condition in which the car is programmed to do this? I can't find any reference to it in the manual.

Almost certainly your knee is the culprit! I have noticed a couple of times on my car (being RHD I have inadvertently turned the lights on rather than off). I can only assume that in getting into the car I have caught the switch with my knee

+1 Haha, I noticed this too initially...then I caught the culprit, a handsome young A6 owner, whose knee would graze the switch every so often, moving it to the left into the off position

I'm not used to auto lights. And every once in a while my muscle memory reaches down and switches the lights off. I noticed I was doing it every once in a while subconsciously without even realizing it. The next day as the sun was setting I would look down and think "why aren't my lights turning on" only to realize I'd switched it off again. Doh!
