Default how to turn off bumper sensor beeping?
Hi, how do you turn off the bumper sensor beeping? Going through a car wash is quite annoying with the sensors/beeping enabled.

Your manual will explain how you can adjust the proximity sensor volume - it can also be set to zero in the MMI sound settings as well as changing the frequency of the beeps.

I have a 2016 A6 with Prestige Package. I hope there's a way to disable it. The beeping makes car washes really unpleasant.

Switch with "P" next to the passenger airbag warning.Not sure why the OP has a problem unless he has put the car in reverse first as that is required to activate the parking sensors (or has Audi bowed to complaining ex-Lexus customers and made the front sensors permanently active)

I think that you are correct with going in reverse first but I have never taken my Audi to a car wash or have ever turned the sensors off. The only time that I ever use the P button is to turn the front camera on when going forward into a parking space.

I did have to "Google" car wash as I could not understand how you could be outside carefully washing your car and inside hearing the beepers

When I put my car in reverse the sensor alarm goes off. I tried cleaning the front and rear sensors, but that didn’t work and I do not see a place within the car setup screen to change this alarm. Can you help?
