Order of posts

For the first time today I noticed some threads are displayed with the most recent post first - this never happened before. Some threads still have the old way of the OP's post first and then all the replies, etc. with the newest one at the end. To my knowledge I did not request this. I find it confusing. Anyone know what is going on?
An example of this are the posts re: Audi not developing CVT's and the one on odd humming noise, each with one reply. For one the original post is shown first while for the other the reply is shown first - odd.

My options are set to "Linear-Oldest first" and that's the way all threads are displaying; no issues on my browser.

Have seen the issue now once myself. Thread presented itself backwards so to speak. But not all threads.

That's how my options are set, yet joebird's post on the CVT shows his original post second (now it is marked #2) in spite of it having an earlier post time than the #1 post.
I noticed the same thing on a post in the A3 III forum - very odd.

I just checked my options and it was on linear newest first. I then pulled down the menu and there were only linear newest first, threaded and hybrid. I logged out and back in and this time had the option to revert to linear oldest first (which is what I always had it set for) and now it seems OK. All day the AW site was incredibly slow navigating - any issues?? Now the site is back to normal speed. No other of the dozens of sites I went to today seemed slow - only this one. It is OK now - all's well that.....

I know that Kris was checking on issues a couple of days ago. Might still be some yet to resolve.

It happened again just now in the A3/S3 MKII forum: I clicked on the thread " New A3 2.0T- Loving it..." and it displayed the newest post first. I checked my CP Options and it is still set as "Linear oldest first". Curious.
