Dumb question. Would gas mileage improve if I put full load tire pressure vs. half load tire pressure?

Yes, due to reduced rolling resistance.

Yep... I have 38 psi front and 41 psi rear. Some ppl may not like it due to higher pressure giving them harsher ride or less comfy.

Maybe 1 or 2 mpg but not much more. (I've tried it over a period of time on several cars).

Mythbusters had a test where they started with a car that had a normal tire pressure of 35 psi.

30 psi = 1.2% increase in fuel use
35 psi was base line
40 psi = 6.2% decrease in fuel use
60 psi = 7.6% decrease in fuel use

If you want better MPG's, a little is good. A lot doesn't make it a lot better.
