Spotty windshield

Spotty windshield
Have anybody notice light spots in their windshield when the sun shines on it at a certain angle. That is what I am seeing, I tried cleaning the inside and outside of the glass with some pretty aggressive cleaners and so far no luck. I am beginning to think the spots are in between the two layers of glass. I am assuming Audi use a 2 layer acoustic windshield. There is also two fingerprints that can be seen under a certain angle of sunlight. I hate to replace my windshield for this minor problem, what would you guys do?

I can not believe that when the windshield was made, that human hands were handing the glass or the plastic film in between. Perhaps you need to try some solvent like MEK to make sure the spots are truely between the glasses.

I'd be reluctant to replace the windshield as well. I had one replace in my 06 Audi and if you looked hard enough you could tell it was replaced. Also the replacement glass seemed cheaper and pitted faster than the original. It bothered me.

They label it as a manufacturer's defect. This is the 1st time I have ever seen a windshield like this, I had one that was optically incorrect, but never with spots in between the layers.
